Microsoft should have seen this coming.

People are way too fatigued with the BS they've been pushing for years. Windows 11 and subscription based models for basic little things have cause a huge serge of Linux adoptions in recent years. Hell, even Apple enjoyed the rush. It surprises me that they didn't see this happening, or were too stubborn and egotistical to even notice.
